Geneva Airport is the favourite for many Swiss and French Ski Resorts .
Although the Airport is not large by comparison to many European Airports it is the most accessible start for many Winter Holiday Destinations.
Geneva Airport has an exceptional record for maintaining services even in the most adverse conditions.
There is a French Sector used mainly for French internal flights but the majority of passengers arrive at the Main Terminal in the Swiss Sector. A separate Charter Terminal nearby is only open at Weekends.
During weekends, both the Airport and the Parking can be very busy.
The Transfer from Geneva to Meribel (and all others listed) is pleasant and mainly trouble free. The first part is Motorway to Annecy followed by a lakeside ride to join the Alpine Expressway in Albertville.
From here we share the road with the traffic from Lyon, Chambery and Grenoble for a short distance, heading towards the resorts of Val d’Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs, La Plagne, Val Thorens, Meribel (and all others listed) on the Route to the Alpes.
If the journey is going to take longer than usual it will normally be from Albertville, but overall it usually takes around 2¼ hours Door To Door for the 145km trip to both Meribel and Courchevel.
